wicked.

so what's the skinny on SC'ing one of these engines? was the process well documented? what kind of outputs and drivability does it have?

it's exactly the sort of thing that should be in the arse end of an X.

FUGGING P0RN!!!!!

very very nice. It almost makes me think of supercharing a 2.0L as apposed to turboing a 2.0L. Acceleration would be greater.

SPECS! SPECS! SPECS! I really need to go seem fiatorque's ross smith.

Also got any vid footage of dyno results?

Well so far the car not tuned yet and will be very soon all i can say is that he is runing 10 psi at moment he will run around 15 later on. Power output wont be so much as the compression is very low, could run very high boost if he wanted to.So the car wont get as much power as it could get if the comp was higher, but still enough to make the little sucker fly.I can say that it was makin 360nm of torque at wheels on 10psi revin out to 6 not the 7500 that it will be revin out to after tuned. The car drives good but first gear is no longer a gear just a blur as its over befor u know it. Torque steer is a bit out there but still stable just hold on to the wheel tight and u should be fine. OH and make shure theres room between u and the other car ur racing about two lanes haha.NO it handles good and will only get better with more work involved ok ill keep u all up to date cya .

Nice, but I have to say the pipe from intercooler to intake pipe is a bit rough. surely a bend could have been used.

is it rootes or screw blower?

360nm is a decent whack of torq (altho... torq multiplication thru gears mite be a factor? wots torq at wheels of stocky 2L?) from an sohc - is it 1.3 or 1.5?

yeh ash... makes me wonder whether to twincam or SC the x in the long run

snooz your right- not very reliable to quote torque figure when they are at the treads - the gearbox and differential multiple the torque...

the blower looks like one off a toyota 3sg which is a roots type from memory

Well it will give you torque at the wheels, just not at the engine. Probably not that usefull though.

3SG only came with a turbo 3SGTE

1G and 4A are the most common supercharged Toymotors

hi there im adrian i own the car , my bro put it on here and has been writing back :) The blower is off the 1ggze toyota motor . The intercooler pipe going into the inlet manifold has that design because it acts as a plenum its actually not as it looks . The motor is a 1.5 lt . I can tell u that it made 130hp at the front wheels not tuned prop yet , on 10psi and at 6000rpm . The accelaration is great at any revs , cant wait to get it tuned run more boost and use full revs .

YEAH true the car is very scary with the instent torque of the super charger and torque steers really badly some times, But the good thing with turbo is u can controll ur boost,we are hoping to get somthing worked out with the ecu.A 3 way boost controll for 1st 2nd and 3rd so first gear will run like 6psi then 2nd about 10psi and 3rd around the 20psi mark that way it will get off the line punch to 100km very fast then have masive boost to give the top end power.High boost is the compensation for the size of the motor.Well cant wait to find out if it goes hard i will do the same motor as my brothers in my x19 and kick his ass

I guess the boost pressure is selected by choosing the supercharger and crank pulley sizes, unless you are not venting pressurized intake air from the system (which is ineffective). Any guidelines about selecting the drive pulleys?
