Shock horror... a 40 year old car with the cheapest possible brake pads, shocks and tyres doesn't handle or stop too well...

"And they weren’t that good at designing geometry either, the front wheels adopt all sorts of weird and wonderful angles "

Yeah Fiat had no idea what they are doing. Thats why most people who "improve" them make them go SLOWER! Fortunately this guy has an excellent handle on suspension geometry design (note the technical term: "weird and wonderful angles") - maybe he can run a master class on the subject for losers like Chapman and Dallara....

The 125 never was a sports saloon. Look up Fiats publicity blurb from the time and the 125 was described as a “large family car”.

This is the statement he should have put at the start of the article and not bothered writing the rest.

 at 'large' family saloon. My mum's 'little' hatchback (Honda Jaz) is BIGGER than my 'large' family saloon.

Meh I have plenty of fun in mine and reckon it does alright for what it is.

Nice looking white 125 in the article too. :) 8)

Guido ... Agreed you get nothing for nothing.
mmm large carbs with no cams or compression to compliment them......... should have left it standard
My old 125 would have shit all over his gay 75 TS and use less fuel while doing it
(no not baseless comments I have had both side by side)
(ohh and I would still have the 75 over the 125 to own and drive just stating a point)
full credit to the 75 they handle fantastic but they are still hp limited standard
and again Guido said the rest
stiffen up that sway bar.... harden up some of that 40 year old rubber
decent pads
what a lazy twat
do half a job then report it, hardly fair on the old girls

mmm how to make a 125 owner bitter (ex owner)

Maybe they'd be faster with a mirafiori badge!
