Soon after the sale of the 8v engine, the 16v build up commenced. A Lancia Thema head was purchased from New Zealand. The head was sent to Vince Rigoli to be rebuilt. In the mean time, Pistons and Billet connecting rods were being sourced from aftermarket suppliers. It took over 1 year just to get the parts landed. I have always maintained that piston and rod makers are wankers to the n'th degree. They demand upfront payment, and then take Far to long to deliver. I was promised 6 weeks for pistons and this turned into 6 months, as for Rods i was promised 4 weeks, and they were delivered in 3 months. The patience that is required for a build of this size is considerable.

Below are pictures of the bottom end build, pistons, rods and the long engine assembled.

The engine was then located in the engine bay, custom engine mounts were required.

The associated manifold and pipe work was then assembled and intercooler installled. Brake booster removed. Custom engine mounts. Rack and Pinion. Autronic Gas Analyser. Surge tank and Bosch m/sport pump.

The Interior almost complete

The finished Product.
